Your Blackberry Stolen or Lost ???? use Blackberry Protect


Welcome Back guys. . On this opportunity, I would like to share an information on how to use Blackberry Protect to protect your handheld secure and safe. With this free application we can track our stolen or loss Blackberry easily. Including Blackberry 10, this application also running on this Operating system. So be ready to read this :


Download Blackberry Protect if you don’t have it yet for OS 7.1



1. On home screen , swipe down from the top of the screen

2. Choose Settings then select BlackBerry Protect

3. Set BlackBerry Protect switch to On

When this step is done. Try to test by visiting the BlackBerry Protect website. Then following by this action:

  • See your device's location on a map 
  • Ringing your device even if it is in silent mode
  • Show special message on your locked device to provide instructions on how to contact you
  • Set or change the device password and lock your device
  • Wipe all data from your device
  • OTA backup and restore your Blackberry data easily
Enabling Location Settings

For you to be able to see the device in which, first make sure that location services active. In order to do this. In the settings screen and then press the BlackBerry Protect Location Services and set the Location Services switch to On. Then login through the BlackBerry Protect website.

Troubleshooting Tips

I can not locate my BlackBerry device using BlackBerry Protect
  • Make sure Location Services enabled. To verify this setting, press the search icon and then go and check the Location Services feature is enabled.
  • This is turned off or you do not have an active wireless connection
I can not remember my BlackBerry ID password

If you forgot your password BBID, please read BlackBerry ID Password Forgot? 

I Have signed into the BlackBerry Protect but can not see my device:

Your BlackBerry device can not be traced? Use the following steps below:
  • Make sure you log in to the BlackBerry Protect website using the BlackBerry ID that you currently use with your BlackBerry 10 devices
  • If BlackBerry Protect is not activated on your BlackBerry device 10. Then it will not be tracked.
