DeActivated Apps Consuming Data A Lot on IOS 9

DeActivated Apps Consuming Data A Lot on IOS 9 - At the time when new iOS 9 was released a few weeks ago for Iphone User, we finally got access to lot of new feature we have been waiting for. But as people are spending more time getting to know their new iOS, there are a few downsides. One of these features is Wi-Fi Assist.

But before we claimed this Wi-Fi Assist as a bad feature, it’s important to understand what it does. When Wi-Fi Assist is turned on, it will choose a weak Wi-Fi signal by switching to cellular data. For example, let’s say you are trying to load bus schedules while running out of your house; iPhones on the old iOS would connect on to your home’s Wi-Fi, until the signal was too far away to stay connected. However, this would result in very slow load times due to weak signal. In iOS 9, Wi-Fi Assist will says this weak signal and switch your phone to cellular data automatically.

Hmms, sounds useful, but will be a big problem for people who does not have an unlimited data plan. If your house has rooms that are Wi-Fi dead zones, Wi-Fi Assist will cause your phone to use cellular data even though you have access to Wi-Fi. So if you don’t have cellular data to spare, make sure you turn Wi-Fi Assist off. To do so, go to Settings > Cellular and scroll all the way to the bottom.

DeActivated Apps Consuming Data A Lot on IOS 9

There you’ll see Wi-Fi Assist switched on by default. Turn off Wi-Fi Assist, and enjoy the peace of mind that comes with not wasting data.

Installed SNAP Blackberry 10.2.1 Android

SNAP Application - Recently Blackberry had released a new Blackberry Operating System 10.2.1 claimed that it can be used directly to download Android application. but it does not that easy as they said, you have to find the APK file one by one.
Let try another easy way to do it, using SNAP Application. You can download Android application easily using this. Because it has been verified by Google too

Please use and read this instruction on the way to do it :
  • Try to and installed Google Chrome
  • After Google Chrome is installed, open it up and install this extension for Google Chrome on your computer.
SNAP. Android Blackberry
Chrome Extension

  • Download the latest SNAP.BAR file to your computer, place it somewhere you that you can remember.
  • Enable development mode on your BlackBerry - Go to Settings>Security and Privacy>Development Mode. Turn the switch to the ON position. Note the IP address it lists as well, it's most commonly set to 169.254.0.1 but if different, make note of it. Also, it may ask you to create a password. If so, make one and do not forget it.

  • Take and use your micro-USB cable and plug it into your device, then plug your device into your computer.
  • Open Google Chrome and visit https://169.254.0.1/. If your IP found in development was different, replace 169.254.0.1 with the IP found there.
  • If you get an SSL error page or it says this sites security certificate is not trusted, that's fine. It's not causing any harm. Just accept and proceed. If you get a different sort of error though, like this page cannot be found or this webpage is not available, try reconnecting your device or try a different USB port.
  • Then, you may need to go to the Google Chrome extension settings and enter the correct IP address there. Generally, it auto detects it but if not you'll need to add it manually. Additionally, if you're still unable to connect, make sure your anti-virus is disabled or the app is allowed to run. This often times causes a lot of connection issues especially for Windows user
SNAP Android Views Installed Application

  • Once you have the page loaded up, enter in your device password that you created to approve access. You will then see a list of what's already installed on your device.
  • From there, you can go to the top right hand corner where it says 'Install Apps' and click on that. That will open a file explorer window for your computer, in which case you want to browse to wherever it is that you downloaded the Snap BAR file and select it.
  • Once selected, the Snap file will begin installing and you can view the progress in Chrome. When done, you will see 'result::success' indicating that all went well and the file sideloaded properly.
  •
  • And now you can now disconnect your device from your computer and we'll look at setting up Snap.
  •
  • Note that this process is applicable for any app that you wish to sideload, not just Snap. If there is other BAR files you wish to install, it can be done the exact same way. If this all a bit too complicated for you, you can make life easier and download sachesi for your respective computer. Once downloaded, plug in your device, run the Sachesi app and go to the "Install" tab. From there, drag the Snap bar into Sachesi and it will load it. I will note though, DO NOT go messing with anything else in the Sachesi app if you're not aware of what it does.

OS v10.1.0.4561 For BlackBerry Z10, Q10, And Q5 Blackberry

Are you looking for something to do this weekend? Well flexNinja and DarcyTallGuy over in the CB forums have just posted some leaked OS’s for the BlackBerry Q10, Q5, as well as the Z10 (sorry Z10 STL100-1 this isn’t for you). This is OS version 10.1.0.4561 which is a full autoloader for the Q10 and Q5. The autoloader for the Z10 is OS version 10.1.0.4561 with the radio version 10.1.0.4544.

For the Z10 it has been reported to superimpose your PIN on the screen like it has been doing for the 10.2 leaks. I haven’t loaded this on my Q10 and I don’t have a Q5 to know if it’s showing the PIN on those devices so if anyone loads this up please hit up the comments below and let us know.

Here is how you update your BlackBerry Z10 with this leaked OS.

  • Backup your Z10 with BlackBerry Link.
  • Download autoloader OS.
  • Turn off the Z10.
  • Run autoloader.exe (windows Vista 7 and 8 run as admin)
  • When “connecting to Bootrom” appears on system connect Z10 to PC and turn on the device.
  • Wait for the process to finish and phone to reboot.
  • The update will wipe your device, so you can either restore all the info from your backup through BlackBerry Link or just start fresh if you want.

As always make sure to backup your device before updating to the newest release just to be safe. Also remember BlackBerry Empire is not responsible for anything that may go wrong during the update process.
